The States Title family of brands (States Title, North American Title Company, and North American Title Insurance Company) takes the health and safety of our customers, associates, and communities very seriously. Our thoughts remain with the individuals and families directly impacted by the disease, and we recognize that everyone has been indirectly impacted. We all have a role to play in responding to this. As the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to be a worldwide concern we want you to know what we are doing to support containment efforts while still providing exceptional service.
We remain open for business. We are continually monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website on COVID-19, as well as information from other state and local agencies. As guidance from these sources changes, our efforts will evolve. As of the date of this post we are:
In addition to these safeguards, all of our associates will be eligible for participation in our new Alternative Leave Policy, which provides up to 10 days of additional paid time off in the event the associate or a household family member becomes sick. This Alternative Leave is in addition to any normal sick time or paid time off. We recognize the hard work and dedication of our associates is what allows States Title, NATC, and NATIC to provide exceptional care for our customers and operate efficiently. We are committed to supporting our associates and their families through this pandemic and beyond.
States Title is open for business with no anticipation of disruption to daily operations. Our associates have always been well equipped to work remotely and we are confident that our operational process is capable of seamlessly handling even a significant increase in transaction volume. In addition to ensuring all associates are set up to work remotely, we have asked our sales and support teams to limit or cease onsite client visits until further notice. Any previously scheduled in-person meetings will be migrated to video conferencing or phone, as will all meetings scheduled going forward.
Closings are considered essential business so even in areas where shelter-in-place directives are active, closings will still be able to take place. States Title is working with our mobile notary providers on availability and Remote Online Notarization is supported in certain cases. Some County Recorders’ offices may be closed, however, which may mean a delay in recordings in any county that is not set up to eRecord. States Title will provide extended Gap Insurance coverage in areas where recording is not currently available. Please contact us if you have questions about your specific situation.

NATC is open for business. Our classification as an essential business allows us to stay open, even in areas where a shelter-in-place directive is active. We have been and will continue to be vigilant in taking the above listed precautions to ensure the health and safety of our associates and customers.
In the event that a transaction is unable to happen in-person, we are offering mobile notary closings upon request. Please allow plenty of notice to set up a mobile closing. Some states also allow remote online closings, and wherever possible we are offering this to customers as an option, as well. Please contact your local branch to learn more.

NATIC remains open, providing the full suite of underwriting services to our agents. At this time, we anticipate no interruption in our daily operations. Our associates are always set up to work remote, as needed, and will continue providing the services you need as you perform everyday business functions.
With respect to travel and group gathering restrictions placed by many state and county government agencies, we are asking our sales, audit, claims, and underwriting teams to limit or cease their agent onsite office visits until further notice. All associates will remain available by phone, email, group conference calls and video calls.
